Slide 2 There's a Park Map
available for Woodland Caribou Park, and you'll
need to get one for your trip. This is the only
map that shows where the portages are. The portages are marked very accurately, but the map is too small to use for navigation. The map doesn't show any topographical information, and it doesn't show the Universal Transverse Mercator Grid. There's no way to correlate a position on the map with a reading from your Global Positioning System (GPS) receiver. |
